Max comes by way of Finland, with a deep love for pulla (sweet coffee bread spiced with cardamom) and mountain biking. He’s the bike fit and suspension fork expert, and a positive and encouraging leader and teacher. His favorite bike memory is the moment that he fell in love with mountain biking, blasting downhill in the Pyrenees, but forgetting that going downhill means climbing back up the mountain.
Lucas is the force that keeps the shop stocked with great brands and products, but it’s his ability to intuit others’ needs that is invaluable in getting people on the perfect bike for them. A lover of iced coffee, lime La Croix, and pups, he’d be happy to tell you about the rides he and Tuesday have taken around the city. Especially, the days before he had his cargo bike and Tuesday’s head would poke out of his backpack.
Dom is the smiling tall person that crushes repairs and keeps us organized. His years of shop experience inform his meticulous work, but it’s his humble confidence that inspires trust as he explains problems and the steps it will take to fix them. He’s a connoisseur of veggie buffalo wings, but his true love is his pooch Winnie. Dom’s favorite bike memory is rolling into the hostel drop for his first mountain bike ride through the Belmont.
Sean brings his golden locks, racing knowledge, and a positive mental attitude to the shop. He’s as talented at building wheels as he is snuggling a chubby cat or eating frosted shredded wheats. His favorite bike memories are from his 13 mile commute to his first bike shop gig. Discovering different routes to the Philly suburbs and exploring around the city is still a favorite activity that he loves to share with others.
Dave has been a close friend and supporter of the shop since the beginning. He's a defender and lover of cats of all shapes and sizes, could sustain himself entirely on mashed potatoes, and is at home in the woods on his mountain bike. Happy and eager to take on new challenges, his favorite bike memory is signing himself and Max up for a crit race, crashing at 25 mph and immediately popping up stoked to find his bike was fine and ready to ride again.
Alex’s almost encyclopaedic knowledge of every bike and product in the shop coupled with a personality of honest humility puts even the most novice rider at ease. It’s a personality that he carries into jiu jitsu and being a dog parent to his three little pups. And one that provides insight into his favorite memory of biking through the redwoods through the mist and feeling the skyscraper tall trees around him.
Sarah is the smiling face that will often greet you at the door. Quick to laugh and quick to help, her love of bikes and bike related things is contagious. You might see her biking around the city with her little pooch Mia in the front basket, but her favorite bike memory is popping bottles of champagne at the finish line of the 2012 Tour de France.
Tuesday rode into this world on magical moonbeam clouds and dandelion dust. Years ago Lucas heard young Tuesday's siren call of promised snugs and adopted him from PAWS. Tuesday can now be seen sitting pretty, napping, and guard dogging at the shop.
Some call Winnie the sweetest dog on the planet. That’s hard to say with so many four legged sweethearts running around, but what we do know is that she’s great at dog stuff. She can jump high, dig holes, and lick things with the best of them, and is always down for a good belly rub.
